White-headed or Pied Stilts

The White-headed Stilt or Pied Stilt is a sometimes treated as a distinct species Himantopus leucocephalus, others include this shorebird in the Common or Black-winged Stilt as Himantopus himantopus leucocephalus.

Distribution / Range

They are found in Australia, Brunei, Christmas Island, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea and the Philippines.
